Combating Mean with Sharing Kindness

We here at The Mean Girl Extinction Project are spreading awareness about the “the mean girl” phenomenon. One of the ways to share awareness is through education, because we know, knowledge is power. We want to educate teens, parents, teachers and communities on the issue of girl bullying; sharing how to recognize “mean girls”, ways to help the victim, families and even the bully.

In the Fall, we will be launching an after school program for girls called Kind Clubs (A Finding Kind program). Everything we do here at The Mean Girl Extinction Project is to promote the exact opposite of meanness, and that is KINDNESS. If we can find ways to teach kindness, we can combat meanness into extinction!

As an organization, we want to do more than just teach about the importance of kindness. We want to put our time and energy into finding positive ways to actively invest in showing kindness. That is why we are excited to share with you an amazing organization called Dress A Girl Around The World. This organization provides dresses for girls in third world countries.

“By providing a new dress you may well be changing a young girl’s destiny. Village pastors tell us that a girl wearing new dress presents an appearance that she is well cared for and may discourage would-be predators. We attach our Dress a Girl label on the outside of each dress sending an additional message that each girl is under the care of an organization, giving her added protection from those who would harm her.”

On July 23, 2014, we will be a part of a Dress A Girl Around The World event. If you are in the area, Sonoma County, we would love for you to be a part of it!

Let’s continue to show the world GIRLS ARE AWESOME!
Come help us shower kindness on girls who are less fortunate than us. Girls helping girls can eradicate meanness.

If you would like to be apart of this event, fill out the contact form below form and we will send you all the details.

Thank you so much for the great work you are doing to support girls by teaching them about kindness. What you are doing now for this young generation is going to help everybody because they will grow up and be responsible people. I love what you are doing, because I know the importance of touching people’s lives. When I lived in Uganda I visited the same 5 schools every week and taught the kids about love. They appreciated learning about love, and most of all, it meant so much to them that I came every week.
